Somewhere Family Voice is a collection of places with meaning to women who are part of the Family Voice community in Nether Edge.
Help celebrate the publication of the book curated by Mark Doel, and meet some of the women featured.
Seemingly everyday places like a barber’s shop and a bus stop reveal their deeper significances for the women who photograph them and tell their stories. Written in their languages of origin and translated into English, these short photo-stories speak to our attachments to everyday places and reveal our common humanity.
The event is part of Ammi's Kitchen Lunch which is 'pay as you feel' and you can also buy the book (card or cash) with all proceeds going to supporting local women.
