Organise an event

Almost all the events in the Nether Edge Festival are set up and run entirely by members of the local community. Please join us in sharing your talents and your passions, and help us create an unforgettable festival.

If you’re passionate about music, food, art, games, or simply bringing people together, there’s a way for you to contribute to the Festival. Please send us a brief note below saying which of the Themes your event(s) would fall into, and one of our Theme Leads will get back to you with details of how to send us all your event information so we can include it in the programme. The festival is run by volunteers with other commitments so it may take a few days to respond to you.

The Festival is organised around seven Themes:

• Arts & Crafts – Show your creativity or teach others your skills at an exhibition or a workshop.
• Drama, Film & Literature – Stage a show, a reading or a screening, in your café or your garden.
• Family & Community – Bring people together with a street party or a kids’ circus show.
• Food & Drink – Share your love for grub’n’guzzle at a chef’s masterclass or a community tea.
• Music & Dance – Get the neighbourhood hopping with a gig, a jig or a jamboree.
• Sports, Games & Wellness – Whether it’s yoga, archery, football or chess, help us all get fit and well.
• Talks & Walks – Tell the world what you know, at a lecture, a debate or a guided nature tour.
