This one and a half hour guided walk explores the social history of Brincliffe Edge Road, the late nineteenth century estate developed on the fields below it by the Montgomery Land Society and the lives of some of the people who took up residence there.
Starting point is the gas lamp at the top of Union Road. The circuit ends back at the foot of Union Rd. near Lyndhurst. Please note that the start point is up a fairly steep hill but there are no other climbs during the rest of the circuit.
Places for the guided walks must be booked in advance.
A donation of £2 would be appreciated to cover the cost of printing notes and maps for both versions the walk.
Guided walks will be available on 4 dates. Maximum of 6 people per walk.
