Join us for an afternoon of fun, laughter and music with a screening of ‘Sing’! Set in a world like ours but inhabited by animals, ‘Sing’ follows Buster Moon as he attempts to save his theatre with a singing competition.

+ The film will be screened with subtitles and in relaxed conditions (the sound will be reduced, there will be some natural light and you can make noise/move around if you need to).

+ Tickets for the screening are ‘pay what you can’ and refreshments will be available for a donation – but please bring your own food and drink if you need to. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

+ A quiet space will be available.

Bat Walk and Film
Join us for a guided bat walk around the Cemetery to look and ‘listen’ for bats using bat detectors. Watch them swoop through the trees hunting for insects and lean more about British bats from our guides.

Spooky Walk & film
Join historian and horror guide Dr Laura Alston who will take you on a spooky walk around the Cemetery to find out about some of the mishaps, mysteries and ghoulish tales to be found in Sheffield General Cemetery.

Transylvanian vampire Count Dracula bends a naive real estate agent to his will, then takes up residence at a London estate where he sleeps in his coffin by day and searches for potential victims by night.
This is a volunteer led event and proceeds go towards the charitable aims of the Trust.

This event is strictly 18 and over.

Come and enjoy building poems from suggested topics; giving and receiving a ‘commission’ to write on the night; hand-crafting a poem as a gift; and leaving with one hand-crafted for you.

A chance to meet local author Catherine Fox, author of The Lindchester Chronicles (“Barchester for the 21st Century”).
Catherine Fox is the pen name of Dr Catherine Wilcox who is a senior lecturer in Creative Writing at The Manchester Writing School at Manchester Metropolitan University. She was educated at Durham and London Universities and has a degree in English and a doctorate in Theology. Writing as Catherine Fox, she is author of eight adult novels that explore themes of the spiritual and the physical with insight and humour. Her recent Lindchester Chronicles are published by Marylebone House/SPCK. She has also written a YA fantasy novel, Wolf Tide, with her husband, the Bishop of Sheffield, and a memoir about her quest to gain a judo black belt. She lives in South Yorkshire.

Toy Stories sees Chris living back in his childhood home, keeping himself busy during lockdown by making artworks out of Scalextric track and other toys from his younger days.

When all around you is falling apart, can childhood toys provide some sort of grounding? And, when fake news abounds and politicians lie routinely, who’s to tell Chris that his creations are just pretend?
