Nether Edge is a vibrant community made up of people from far and wide, all adding something to make our corner of Sheffield the special place it is.
Now in our fifth year the Festival aims to showcase the talents of our wonderfully diverse residents – and, of course, to have fun together!
Run by volunteers, the Festival, along with the ever-popular Nether Edge Farmers’ Market is a branch of the Nether Edge Neighbourhood Group (NENG). Since 1973 NENG has worked to improve the area of Nether Edge, to make it welcoming and safe place to live.
Come celebrate our community on the 14th September at our Carnival at Common Ground and throughout the Festival.
A Festival of this size takes an enormous combined effort by many people. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to making it all possible. Our thanks go especially to:
Everyone who is contributing to the Festival – committee members, event organisers, volunteers, supporters and the venues. Our team of helpers who distribute the programmes to every door in Nether Edge.
Local businesses who have supported us, Clive Jacques at A&R Tradeprint for kindly sponsoring this year’s posters and flyers, Sharrow Community Forum, St Andrew’s Hall, St Andrew’s Psalter Lane Church, Rosalind Watchorn Solicitors
for their kind donation to support the Coach Tour and Lunch for older people, Wickwire, Kenwood Hotel and Bannerdale Osteopaths for practical support.
Sheffield City Council and Nether Edge Neighbourhood Group (NENG) for financial support.
Our thanks go, once again, to Leanne Mallinshaw (leannes.co) for her excellent design work for the Festival, including the programme and to Oliver Brown of Denken Studio for his work with our website.
And last but not least, the many local businesses who have donated raffle prizes; to all the individuals whose support is so important to your enjoyment; and to you all for coming and supporting the Festival.
